Hello, I’m Rose — the maker, cutter, stitcher and face behind Plum and Pigeon.
My love for sewing started as a child, creating projects at school, right through to college and into university when studied Fashion & Textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University. After graduating, I wasn’t entirely sure what path to take next, I took a series of dressmaking courses to refine my skills, spending hours learning, unpicking, practising and slowly growing in confidence.
Plum and Pigeon has evolved gently over the years — from a small personal project to the little brand it is today. And through it all, the heart of what I do has stayed the same: creating beautiful, timeless garments.
From the first sketch to the final press, everything happens here in my home studio in Manchester. It’s a cosy space filled with fabric rolls, pattern pieces and that quiet kind of joy that comes from working slowly and intentionally.
Rooted in a love for slow fashion, each garment is made to order to reduce waste while create planet friendly collections. I’m drawn to pretty florals, classic silhouettes and quality fabrics — especially Liberty prints — with the hope of making clothes that feel special the moment you slip them on and remain favourites for years to come.
Thank you for being here and supporting a small, handmade business.
